Algae generally won't cause any issues. It loves light and will reduce as growing plants start to block out the light. Fill any empty holes with your black baskets to keep out most of the light.
If it persists or starts to suffocate your plant roots you may have to remove all plants and clean the system thoroughly . Using hydrogen peroxide will assist with killing the spores during cleaning (use as per manufacturers instructions)
