Although we recommend running your pump 24/7 you may also opt to add a timer. If you do add a timer the guide below may help with setting your times for each model. 

Please note this is a guide only and you may have to trial for best results in your location.

All models excluding Kitchen Garden -

Warmer months

• Day - 1/2 hr on / 1/2 hr off
• Night - 15 min on / 1.5hrs off

Cooler months

• Day - 1/2 hr on / 1 hr off
• Night - 15 min on / 2 hrs off

The Kitchen Garden is automatically timed so that the pump will will come on for 15 mins and off for 45 mins (24/7). It will not operate for 45 mins after the power is switched on.

We do not currently offer a solar pump option but a quick online search will reveal many. We recommend when choosing a pump it should have a flow rate of approx 600-1000 litrs per hour and a head height of around 2 metres. 

We also recommend attaching your pump and solar panel to a small battery so that it can be timed to run a least 2 or 3 times overnight. This is because your plants uptake nutrient during the day and night.
